CONACYT Institutional Repository (RI-CONACYT)

CONACYT’s Institutional Repository is an information and knowledge management tool that offers open access to the scientific production of CONACYT's science, technology and innovation (STI) funding programs to the scientific community, public policy decision makers and society in general.

Purpose

RI-CONACYT aims to be the main access point for online consultation of the results and knowledge products generated by CONACYT's public investment programs focused on STI development such as PROCIENCIA and PROINNOVA.

Objectives

• Store, preserve and disseminate Paraguayan scientific production funded by CONACYT's STI programs.
• Increase the visibility of researchers and the impact of national research.
• Promote and facilitate open, free and universal access, to the results and products of CONACYT's STI programs
• Promote and provide a space for the development of research projects and collaborative research projects.

Dissemination and Visibility of Paraguayan Science

RI-CONACYT has all the interoperability, metadata and cataloging standards required to guarantee the dissemination and visibility of Paraguayan science.

The repository uses the OAI-PMH interoperability protocol, based on the Dublin Core metadata schema, as a standard to ensure the exchange and dissemination of the metadata of its content, which places Paraguayan scientific production within the reach of the most important specialized search engines and information harvesters, ensuring maximum visibility so that scientists from all over the world can access Paraguayan scientific publications.

CONACYT recommends beneficiary researchers, technologists and science, technology and innovation personnel to use the Institutional Repository for the storage, preservation and dissemination of their technical and scientific production.
