Socio-economic characteristics are associated with nutritional deprivation in the paraguayan households

Abstract

This study examined the nutritional deprivation of Paraguayan households (understood as households access to diverse diets) and investigated the association between nutritional deprivation and socioeconomics characteristics in a large sample. We used an extension of Alkire-Foster methodology, a technique widely employed in multidimensional poverty measurement, to calculate both the incidence and intensity of nutritional deprivation.
